Spurs survive to fight another day

Gary Neal's buzzer beater gives the San Antonio Spurs the chance to pulled off the win tonight but I think the Grizzlies will take it in game 6.

Denver Nuggets

The Denver Nuggets are out the playoffs but that team is talented regardless. Thunder is the better team and I expect them to go the the western finals.

It would be nice to see Jr Smith go to a team in the east such as Knicks, Bulls, Pacers, Raptors or Cavaliers where he can be a starter.

Serge Ibaka had 7 blocks. Huge!

    The Return of King James

The most anticipated game of the NBA season will take place on Thursday night at 8:00 pm ET, when LeBron James and the Miami Heat play in the Quicken Loans Arena for the first time since James announce his decision to take his talent to south beach on July 8 during a televise show called "The Decision"

The anti-LeBron James feeling that has been building up in Cleveland will almost certainly be on full display. It will be one of those moment in sports history like never before. We have all seen how crazy Cleveland fans can get but I don't think we've witness anything like this before. Most people aren't upset with James leaving Cleveland the are upset with how he did it. It will be a very interesting atmosphere in Cleveland and James emotions will run high.

    What will happen?

The game can be an opportunity for LeBron and the Heat to gain back momentum after a disappointment start.

Even though this is just one game the Cavaliers won't take this game lightly. I expect them to play hard like its the biggest games of their career - a play-off type of game.

Anything can happen on any given night in the NBA so don't count the Cavs out. If the Cavs win this will only add to the problems and frustrations for the Heat through the rest of the season.

    Will the game be competitive?
Most people will be tuning in to see what happens before the game.

Will LeBron do his signature chalk power toss in the air?

Will the Cavs do a video tribute to LeBron similar to what the Knicks did for David Lee?

One thing is for sure, LeBron will get booed like crazy mean while Zydrunas Ilgauskas (Big Z) get cheered.

WE ARE ALL HERE TO WITNESS!

Raptors fall to the Atlanta Hawks

No surprise that the Raptors lost to the Atlanta Hawks 96-78 a season low for the Raps. How many times is the media going to mention that Reggie Evans is not in the line up. Reggie isn't the reason for today's lost. They were out rebounded 44-41.The only thing that would have changed with Reggie in the line is that there would be more second chances and Josh Smith might not have had 13 rebounds.

Get over it! Raptors need to find ways to win without Reggie Evans. The fact is that Raptors live and die with the jump shot. You can't win consistently in the NBA if you are just a jump shooting team. Every time DeMar DeRozan drive to the hoop something positive happens. So why on almost every single position they settle for a jump shot? If you are an NBA team scouting the Raptors you let them take jump shots. Too easy for any NBA team.

Listening to the post game I can't blame coach Jay Triano he recognize the fact tha they need to "attack", you can't rely on the jump shot.

Apparently Reggie Evans is the best player on the Raptors from the media's emphasis on the fact that he is not in the line up, so why not build the team around Reggie...lol

My question is this, what would happen if let say Andrea Bargnani was to get injured? Would the Raptors have to fold for the remainder of the season?

    SMH... but everything still criss

    The Michael Vick Show

For those of y'all who missed the Philadelphia Eagles at Washington Redskins game tonight it was officially "The Michael Vick Show". Vick had an incredible game, completing his first 10 passes and finished 20 for 28 for 333 yards with four touchdowns. He also ran eight times for 80 yards and two touchdowns, moving past Steve Young and into second place in NFL history for yards rushing by a quarterback. Just hours after the Redskin offer his former team mate Donovan McNabb a 5 year 78 million deal, Vick and the Eagles embarrass their NFC East rivals 59-28. Vick became the first player in NFL history with at least 300 yards passing, 50 yards rushing, four passing touchdowns and two rushing touchdowns in a game.

Michael Vick on his way to become the player of the year. He hasn't thrown an interception or lost a fumble so far this season.

If MacNabb is worth 78 million at age 34. How much will the 30 year old Vick worth at the end of this season when he become a free agent? - I'm curious...
